What is Yoga?

Definition of yoga: to yoke, to unify

Yoga is a powerful holistic healing system designed to alleviate suffering and bring balance to our physical, mental, and emotional systems.

The practice uses lifestyle habits as medicine and incorporates physical movement, breath work, self-reflection, and meditation.

Yoga as a State of Well-Being

What does it look like when we are not in a state of yoga?

When we are not in a state of yoga, we might feel disconnected from our bodies and minds. We may experience stress, anxiety, and tension in our muscles. Our breath may be shallow and irregular, and our thoughts may be scattered and unfocused.
